2-4 DAY DORING WHITE WATER CHALLENGE
Dynamic is definitely the only way to describe the Doring
River that carves its way through the rugged Swartruggens & Cedarberg
mountains on it's way to joining the Oliphants River - providing some of
the best White Water in the Cape. Experience the thrill of rapids such as
Aquaphobia, House, Krans. Island Letterbox and Fathers & Sons. Take in the beauty and
splendor of this pristine environment with it's perfectly preserved
Bushman/San Rock paintings.
DESCRIPTION : 2
to 4 day guided White Water Rafting trips (weekends or midweek)
approximately 3 hour drive from Cape Town. Our season runs from early June
until end September, this is sometimes extended depending on winter
rainfall.

RIVER WEEKEND BREAKAWAY (Example Itinerary)
FRIDAY
You depart from Cape Town and travel via the N2 to
Swellendam to arrive at our base camp by 17H00 (traveling distance from
Cape Town to the base camp is 245km) On arrival guests will be welcomed by
the team of guides and shown the camp facilities. Dinner will be served
around the campfire at 20H00, we overnight at the base camp .
SATURDAY
After a farm style breakfast guest are shown how to pack
their personal gear into dry bags. Our transport will collect the group
and transfer them to the put in point approximately 20 km upstream for the
base camp. At this point guests will be introduced to the river with a
safety and environmental talk after which the river guides will show
guests how to pack their 2-man inflatable canoes (Croc's). Once on the
river the group will make its way down stream to the lunch stop. After a
snooze and lunch the group will raft down stream to the overnight stop (we
make camp in the bush on the riverbanks). The group will enjoy dinner and
the evening under the stars on the banks of the river.
SUNDAY
The guides will
prepare a full farm style breakfast. After breakfast we will pack up and
make our way down stream, to the lunch stop. After lunch we make our way
back to the base camp (the group will arrive back at base camp by 15H00)
where the group came together on Friday evening. Once at the camp, guests
can enjoy a hot shower and a change of clothes after which time guests
should be ready to depart for Cape Town.

DAY ORANGE RIVER CHALLENGE
DAY 1:
DAY OF ARRIVAL Guests are
asked to meet at the base camp after 17H00. On arrival guests will be met
by the lead guide and shown all the facilities in the camp. Dinner will be
served around the campfire from 20H00 onwards. Guests relax, meet fellow
river trippers and we overnight at "Peace of Paradise" under the
amazing African sky.
DAY 2:
This morning we wake up with
coffee/tea and rusks followed by a hearty breakfast. After breakfast
guests are shown how to pack all their gear for the river trip into the
rafts. After a safety/ environment speech, guides will assist guests with
how to paddle and steer their rafts. Once this is done the group will set
off on an unforgettable 4-day River Rafting Experience. We stop at midday
on the banks of the river for a lunch prepared by the river crew. After
lunch we make our way down stream to the overnight stop on the banks of
the river. While the River Crew sets up camp for the evening, guests relax
with a sundowner. The Crew then prepares snacks and dinner. After dinner
guests relax around the campfire / falling asleep under the amazing
African night sky

This morning we enjoy a last
breakfast on the river and then make our way to the take-out point
(approximately 11H00) where the trip is met by our transport, which will
transfer guests back to the base camp where the trip started.
