the beautiful reefs of the beautiful town”. Hippo Dive Campus is
a PADI Dive Resort offering shore entry and boat dives, as well as
PADI dive courses ranging from Discover Scuba Diving to
Instructor.
Our
most popular dive is a shore entry dive to the wreck of the “Paquita”,
widely believed to be one of the first attempts at insurance fraud
in South Africa. She’s been down since October 1903. Our other
shore entry dives are an exhilarating drift dive through The
Heads, and a junk yard dive at Thesens Jetty where, with a bit of
luck, you might encounter the famous and elusive Knysna Seahorse-
Hippocampus Capensis - the little creature that is the
inspiration behind our name.
Our
boat dives rotate between ten un-spoilt and pristine reefs, all
reached by exciting boat rides through the impressive and imposing
Knysna Heads.
We
sell all the best brands of diving equipment, clothing and
accessories, and offer gear servicing and of course, gear hire and
air fills.
